Saundersfoot Footlights is an amateur musical theatre society in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, founded in 1977. We pride ourselves on being a hard working and family friendly group who now present shows every year, including a Summer musical production and a Christmas pantomime. The group takes members from age 10 & above, with the age of some being at the director's discretion for each show.

Dick Whittington is coming to Saundersfoot Footlights - will you be there to greet him?
The Story
London, once upon a time. Inside the bustling, cobblestone streets of the big city, young Dick Whittington is just trying to make his way in the world, accompanied by his trusty, mouse-catching cat, Tommy. Seeking fame and fortune, Dick arrives in London only to find that the streets aren't paved with gold, and the villainous King Rat is plotting to take over the city. When Dick is wrongfully accused of a crime he didn’t commit, he is forced to flee, embarking on an epic high-seas adventure that leads him from the docks of London to exotic shores.
The Conflict
Dick finds himself leading an eclectic crew to save the city from King Rat's tyrannical grasp. Along the way, he must navigate:
Rat Infestation: Facing off against the cunning King Rat and his army of pesky rodents.
Love & Duty: Winning the heart of the beautiful Alice Fitzwarren while proving his innocence to her wealthy father.
Shipwrecks & Royalty: Surviving a treacherous sea voyage only to become the unlikely hero for a foreign Emperor.

A spectacular, modern twist on the classic British pantomime, this show is a high-octane celebration of friendship, courage, and the power of believing in yourself. With a dazzling score that blends infectious pop hits, musical theatre classics, and hilarious, rewritten comedy numbers, it’s a funny, magical, and ultimately triumphant adventure for the whole family.
